PBS Backroads Live Feature
An unexpected opportunity came my way this past fall when PBS contacted me to see if I’d like to be featured in an episode of their show called Backroads. They showcase artists and songwriters from around MN and give them a platform to share their work as well as some of their background and inspiration. The title of the program is very fitting for me, as I grew up and spent most of my life on the literal country backroads of MN. The episode was shot in a cool, restored old railroad station in Bemidji, MN and aired in February of 2022. I played through a number of songs from my newest album From the Marrow, but also a couple newer unreleased songs - one of which is called Furnace of Earth that went over well. Below is an outline of my set, and the interview portions are situated in-between songs. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
