ALBUM Release
Though a little later than I had planned, my latest album entitled “Come on Back” is out and available now.
This record feels quite different in many ways from my previous one. For one, I was able to assemble and record a collection of 10 songs that were all still quite fresh from the season I was in - with “Want to Feel You” being the most recent which was written and added to the track list just weeks before we started tracking in May 2017 - whereas in Jesus Made a Way I had to selectively pick from a long list of songs from across a 7 year period having been away from music production/recording a long time. You will also find more piano driven songs on this album, as I had been doing much more writing and composing on the piano between 2015-2017. I feel that many of my compositions have a certain prophetic undercurrent to them, but I especially felt this in the song “Come on Back”, which erupted through me as a cry from my own heart, as well as a call from the Spirit simultaneously. I felt this composition and the production stood out in every way, so I decided to make it the title track.
We approached the tracking process differently too, and instead of recording everything individually track by track; once the foundation was laid of my acoustics, piano, and vocals the players came in and tracked the rest together live as a band. This was a fun experience collaborating and getting to capture more of the live energy. I then had the chance to work individually with Aaron some more afterward and some very critical and important elements were added then as well. Thank you for listening to “Come on Back”.
